Humane Society of El Paso, Animal Services working together this month to get more pets adopted

The Humane Society of El Paso and El Paso Animal Services are working together to ask the community to “paw it forward” and “be pawesome” this summer by raising adoptions and reminding El Pasoans about the over population of animals due to irresponsible pet owners.

Pawsome 2014 will be from June 7 through June 21 and all rescues will ahve the special adoption fee of just $60. This includes age appropriate vaccinations, microchip and spay/neuter surgery.

More than 6,800 animals have been euthanized by Animal Services between January and May this year.

A similar adoption campaign was launched two years ago and over 500 animals were adopted.
