Traffic Alert: Complete Closure of freeway Sunday
Expect some heavy congestion on eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 10 on Mother’s Day.
The freeway is expected to shutdown starting Sunday at 12 a.m. through Monday at 6 a.m. Closures will extend from the Porfirio Diaz exit to the Executive Center Boulevard exit, and vice versa.
Crews continue to work on the completion of Spur 1966 that will connect Paisano Drive to the University of Texas at El Paso with an overpass above I-10.
Texas Department of Transportation crews will install support beams for the overpass.
