El Paso Zoo’s Mexican burro to decide fate of World Cup teams – sort of
Don’t know who to root for in the World Cup final on Sunday?
Maybe Cisco, the El Paso Zoo’s Mexican burro can help you choose between Germany and Argentina.
“A soccer enthusiast, Cisco will cast his vote by selecting the team’s soccer ball set out for him in his exhibit by keepers. Will he choose Germany or Argentina?” zoo officials said in a statement.
The fun will start at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the El paso Zoo, 4001 E. Paisano. The public is invited to watch, just like when the zoo’s elephants picked the Super Bowl winner earlier this year.
“This is Cisco’s first time predicting the winner of a game but we think it will be fun since he loves playing soccer,” said Kenny Riley, Senior Keeper. “Visitors don’t always get to watch him play because he’s shy but we’re hoping his enthusiasm for soccer will help him overcome his bashfulness.”
Cisco enjoys kicking around soccer balls and this will provide him a fun and unique experience that zoo visitors can enjoy, zoo officials said.
