Las Cruces Police looking for man who robbed place with weed whacker
Las Cruces Police are searching for a man who allegedly used a weed whacker to rob a Check ‘N Go.
Police say that the robbery occurred at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, June 29 at 400 N. Telshor.
Detectives say the man posed as a landscaper and walked into the business, demanded money from an employee and left with cash. Police did not release how much money was taken.
The man was last seen leaving the business and walking south along Telshor.
Las Cruces Police learned that the robbery occurred at around 9:15 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at the Check ‘N Go at 400 N. Telshor Blvd.
The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall man with a stocky build. He was wearing what appeared to be a blue jump suit, gloves, a mask and a khaki fisherman’s bucket hat. The suspect was carrying a string trimmer or more commonly referred to as a weed-whacker.
