UTEP football begins training camp today

The UTEP football team will begin its summer practice schedule in El Paso from Aug. 4-5 before going to Camp Alpine for 10 days.

Practices are closed to the public.

UTEP will have two scrimmages while in Alpine, one on Aug. 9 and the other on Aug. 15, before the team returns to El Paso on Aug. 15.

Training camp will run through Aug. 29 and the Miners will kick off the 2014 season by traveling to Albuquerque to play New Mexico at 6 p.m. Aug. 30.

UTEP will host Texas Tech in their home opener at 9 p.m. Mountain Time on Sept. 6.

Season tickets are still available, with a general admission season ticket selling for $70. A family pack (two adults, two youth ages 3-12 is $198.
