El Paso Police affidavit reveals more injuries to 23-month-old girl
The police affidavit for Jason Walters reveals more details of the injuries he allegedly inflicted on a 23-month-old girl.
The injuries include a torn rectum with blood present, three human bite marks, fractured skull, collapsed lung, blood in her urine, two swollen and bruised eyes, and bruising to the upper portion of her head.
Walters has been arrested and charged with Injury to Child. He has been booked
into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a bond of $75,000.
The girl was taken to University Medical Center (UMC) for treatment of her injuries and the doctor told El Paso Police that the injuries were not consistent with the defendant’s reported story of the victim falling off the bed, according to the affidavit.
The victim’s mother told police that she left the girl in the care of her husband, Walters, at about 6:50 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8 while she went to work until about 8:20 a.m. the next day.
The mother told police that the girl was in good health at the time she left her with Walters.
