Federal government requests more information from Providence Memorial Hospital before release of action plan
What Providence Memorial Hospital did before it found out an employee had an active case of tuberculosis and what is doing since then still has not been made public.
David Wright, deputy regional administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services sent ABC-7 an email around 3:30 p.m. Thursday saying they’re requesting additional information from the hospital.
Wright indicated Providence has until Friday to submit their additional response before CMS will complete the review.
Wright and Eric Evans, CEO of Providence Memorial Hospital, separately on Tuesday said they expected the CMS action plan to be released publicly Wednesday.
