Fort Bliss offers weapons safety information

Fort Bliss officials are pushing for a safer El Paso.

The Fort Bliss Safety Office is offering personal weapons safety training for soldiers and Borderland residents.

Experts from several law enforcement agencies will be available to present proper at-home weapons safety. Other organizations from the post are also there to talk about maintaining an overall safe environment for children at home and for soldiers on the range.

People at the Freedom Crossing shopping center on Tuesday were able to read up on rules and regulations, and were able to take information home.

The training continues Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the the food court at Freedom Crossing.
