El Paso Police arrest man for DWI after he allegedly drives 96 mph on I-10

El Paso Police arrested a 24-year-old for DWI after he was stopped while allegedly driving 96 mph on I-10.

Police say that Abran Rivera, of the 12000 block of Bucknell, was driving a silver 2012 Hyundai Elantra east on I-10 at mile marker 28 at a speed of 96 mph in a posted 60 mph zone right before 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Rivera was stopped for speeding and police say he was found to be intoxicated and charged with DWI with blood alcohol content greater than or equal to .15 and outstanding traffic warrants.

His bonds total $1,921.
