UTEP women’s basketball team only plays 1 of 3 games in Mexico tournament due to facility issues

The remainder of the 2014 Hardwood Tournament of Hope has been cancelled due to a facility conflict.

UTEP, Kansas State, LSU and Santa Clara were all originally slated to play three games in three days (Nov. 25-27) but the aforementioned issue rose that ultimately forced the cancellation of the final two days.

The Miners (2-2) have made the most of their time in picturesque Puerto Vallarta, having done some team-bonding activities under the sun. UTEP has also has been disciplined, holding study halls daily in various locations throughout the resort.

The Miners will return home to El Paso on Friday and begin preparations for their next game against Eastern New Mexico at 7 p.m. MST on Dec. 2.
