Man allegedly hides in house after destroying his neighbor’s garage

Police have not been able to get the suspect of a hit-and-run incident to come out of his home in far east El Paso.

The wreck happened around 3:30 Friday morning on the 14200 block of Tierra Yamila Lane.

Police say the driver of a truck crashed into a parked car in a driveway, forcing it into a home.

The owner of the home says the driver got out of the truck and hid in his house which was only a few houses away from the wreck.

The homeowner also says that the driver is a Border Patrol agent, but police were unable to confirm that.
