El Paso again ranks as safest U.S. city

El Paso has been ranked the No. 1 safest city in America, according to CQ Press’ City Crime Rankings 2013.

El Paso ranks No. 1 with cities of 500,000 or more population and first earned the safest city in America title in 2010. It is the third year in a row El Paso has ranked number one with the lowest crime ranking.

Since 1997, El Paso has been ranked in the second or third spot of safest cities by this independent study.

CQ Press is an independent research firm that conducts various safety studies of cities, metropolitan areas and states.
