Police arrest teens in Central El Paso bakery robbery
El Paso Police have arrested two teens in connection with an aggravated robbery just afternoon on July 13.
Police say that a 15-year-old male and a 16-year-old male, armed with a knife, entered the Coronado Bakery on the 2900 block of Piedras and demanded money from the clerk.
The two teens, whose names were not released, worked together and took an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the scene on foot.
Police officers located the 15-year-old a short distance away and took him into custody. The 16-year-old was found hiding in an outdoor shed but led from police on foot, according to police officials.
The 16-year-old male was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. Investigators were able to recover the knife and money associated with this aggravated robbery. Both juveniles were turned over to the Juvenile Probation Department (JPD) for the offense of aggravated robbery.
