Officer involved shooting

EL Paso police confirm there has been an officer involved shooting in East El Paso.

According to EPPD PIO Detective Mike Baranyay officers responded to a call of a subject with a gun in the 6-thousand
block of Montana.

When they arrived they confronted the armed suspect and the shooting occurred. At this time all we know is the subject
was struck by gunfire but don’t know his condition . Montana is closed between Geronimo and Mescalero
