Local restaurant Wing Daddy’s preps for Super Bowl madness
The biggest day in sports is only a few hours away.
Managers at Wing Daddy’s Sauce House tell ABC-7 they are going to be slammed.
They are expecting to serve more than 3,000 pounds of chicken wings.
“You know, honestly we’ve been having phone calls for over a month now,” Wingdaddy’s manager Kenny Durling said.
He tells ABC-7 Super Bowl Sunday is no question, the busiest day of the year for Wing Daddy’s.
The restaurant has been prepping for two weeks in its kitchen.
“Easily, tomorrow, we’ll be making at least probably about two to three thousand wings just within the game time,” Durling said.
Durling says they’re doubling the crew for the big game and hope those fans are ready to eat.
“We’re going to be totally staffed up, we’re going to bring in extra to go people, I’m going to have more bartenders in, more cooks more management. I’m mean on all angles we got to anticipate,” Durling said.
For partiers and hosts that wait until the last minute — they may need a little patience.
“Give us a little bit more time, maybe like five or ten minutes, but like I said we’re fully staffed. This is my personal third Super Bowl so we’ve got a bit of a seasoned vet, so we’re ready to rock and roll”
Durling wanted to remind everyone Wing Daddy’s is a locally owned restaurant that’s expanded to six locations around town.
