Montana Vista,Tx – A grandfather reported his automatic rifle stolen from his home Saturday morning.

El Paso County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of burglary of habitation on the 3600 block of Gwendolyn Drive, in Montana Vista.

According to deputies, the owner of an AK-47 automatic rifle said he believed his grandson, Hector Lujan, stole his weapon.

A few hours later, after they responded to the burglary call, deputies were called out to a runaway case. Deputies said they determined the runaway, Adrian Gallegos, who had returned home, was with Lujan.

Lujan was found in an abandoned shed in Montana Vista. He and Gallegos were taken into custody and each charged with burglary of habitation.
