Toddler falls out of chair, dies
An investigation is underway to determine how a toddler died after falling from a chair in his Hatch home.
The parents of an 18-month-old boy told Doa Ana county sheriff’s investigators the toddler fell out of a chair in the kitchen, landed on the tile floor and began convulsing.
The incident happened in the 300 block of Hartman.
When paramedics arrived, they tried to revive the child and took him to Mountain View Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, investigators said.
The toddler’s body has been sent to the University of New Mexico Office of the Medical Examiner in Albuquerque for an autospsy.
