White Sands Monument reopens Sunday

White Sands National Monument reopens Sunday at 8 a.m.

The monument’s been closed for the last eight days, after a Holloman Air Force drone crashed near Dunes Drive. White Sands was closed during the recovery and cleanup.

It is President’s Day weekend, which means all national parks service sites, including White Sands. Is free for everyone Saturday through Monday.
