3rd person dies from flu in El Paso this season
The flu season has claimed the life of another person in El Paso.
The El Paso Department of Public Health announced that a senior citizen has become the third person to die from the flu.
Health officials say the man had underlying medical conditions.
Between Feb. 22 and Feb. 28 of this year, the department recorded 140 new cases of the flu in El Paso.
The total number this season is now more than 5,300 -almost 2,000 more than this time last year.
