Update: Driver killed in 2-vehicle crash and rollover on Zaragoza Friday morning

One man was killed in an early morning crash on Friday in East El Paso involving two vehicles.

Police say that a 2005 Mercury Sable was traveling south on Zaragoza at about 1:47 a.m. when the driver, 36-year-old Eliseo Dorado, lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic in the 1300 block of N. Zaragoza.

The Sable struck a 2008 Chrysler 300 before the Sable rolled over and Dorado was ejected from the Sable.

He was transported to Del Sol Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

The driver of the Chrysler suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was being treated at a local hospital.

Police say that investigators suspect that alcohol and speed on the part of Dorado are allegedly factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
