Way behind. abc-seven’s complete coverage now with maria garcia live in our newsroom: there are so many projects – some are in the design phase, some in the construction phase. for some, it’s been smooth sailing, for others – it’s been a rough, and slower road. voters approved 473-million dollars worth of projects. and in the first three years – the city wants to roll out 22-percent of that money – just over a hundred million’s worth. today – the chair of the bond oversight advisory committee – boac – gave council an update. he says projects like the digital wall downtown or the pedestrian pathway have gone great. plus several parks around the city. but he says other projects have lagged behind. like barron park – where the contractor and the city blamed each other for months of delays. or san jacinto plaza – that was supposed to be finished last november. he says sometimes even he cant’ get straight answers: “some say change orders, some say misperceptions, misreadings i don’t know i can’t get a direct read on why it’s been delayed for a while it’s going to be almost a year by the time they get this thing done.
