Estela’s Escuelas: Kids teaching kids

tonight’s estela’s escuelas… we take you to western hills elementary school where the students have become the teachers… for at least a day: “And finally you have to trai your pets to know what to do and never ever hit your pet.” savannah chavez – with some wise words as the student turned presenter today. a first-grade teacher on campus had these little ones do some research on how to care for pets. the students then passed along information to the campus kindergarteners: sot full “each year about 2.7 million animals are killed one point two million dogs and one point four million cats. The way we can stop this is spay and neuter our pets. This means they are given a shot or have an operation so they cannot have babies. the kids did most of their research during field trips to the animal shelter and the border patrol’s k-9 facility.
