Limited rain chances, cold front approaches

Today we see an upper trough pass the region. That will help bring in some additional moisture, and lift for a potential storm or two.

Rain chances are still very limited, at only 10 percent El Paso and Las Cruces and 20 percent over much of Southern New Mexico in the late day.

A cold front from the northeast will also drop into our region at the surface, dropping forecast highs today and tomorrow slightly.

Friday the forecast high is 81 degrees in El Paso and 79 in Las Cruces.

Some areas will see additional cooling tomorrow.

Saturday and Sunday will be dry, but winds will pick up a bit, breezy Saturday and windy Sunday.

Temperatures warm back to the mid 80s by Sunday afternoon.

A second cold front drop into the region Monday, which will move temperatures into the low to mid 70s.
