StormTRACK Weather: Monday AM

Today’s forecast looks great for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Temperatures have been keeping warm, and will continue to do so today.

A ridge of warm and dry air still sits to our west, and is allowing for our temperatures to stay well above average in the afternoon.

Mornings have been cool, with temperatures in the 20s and 30s. This should continue with overnight lows.

Today a weak cold front sitting to our northeast will slip south, and by the afternoon begin to pass. This will bring cooler air into our region by tomorrow afternoon, leading to forecast high temperatures dropping 5 to 10 degrees.

For today, however, El Paso has a forecast high of 67 degrees with a low tonight of 35.

In Las Cruces, the forecast high is 65 degrees with a low of 30 degrees.

Winds will be light at 5 -15 mph.

Wednesday through Thursday a stronger cold front will pass and provide us with cooler high temps and winds gusting to 35 mph.
