Austin ‘No Doubt’ Trout knocks out Joey ‘Twinkle Fingers’ Hernandez

Las Cruces’ Austin “No Doubt” Trout turns 30 in a couple of weeks and he was looking to get his 30th win on Tuesday in Hollywood to celebrate.

Trout, taking on Joey “twinkle Fingers” Hernandez, was in control of the fight throughout.

But in the sixth round he looked to close it out and knocked out Hernandez.

At the end of 2012, Trout was on top of the 154-pound division after successfully defending his title for a fourth time with a unanimous-decision victory over Miguel Cotto.

But then Trout ran into adversity, as the Las Cruces, New Mexico, native dropped consecutive unanimous decisions to Canelo Alvarez in April 2013 and Erislandy Lara in December 2013.

Proving his championship mettle, Trout (30-2, 17 KOs) has since rebounded with four straight victories (the last three by knockout).
