Han prepared for World Title Fight

El Pasoan Jennifer Han is looking to make history as the first El Paso boxer to claim a world title in the Borderland.

12-3-1 Han had her final day of heavy training before she fights Ghana’s Helen Joseph Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Don Haskins Center.

The fight is for the vacant IBF World Featherweight Championship, and is the first time a world title is up for grabs in El Paso.

Han said she is excited to show off her hard work in front of her home crowd.

“It will be completely different fighting in my hometown when everyone is cheering for me,” Han said. “It’s going to be awesome.”

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the first bell is at 7 p.m.
