TTUHSC Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry dies

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso announced the recent loss of a staff member, Vivek Singh, M.D., Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry.

Singh died Saturday morning after complications from treatment for a gastrointestinal illness.

Although Singh only worked for Texas Tech for less than five months he was able to build the foundation for a world-class psychiatric department that will continue to work with the El Paso community.

Singh leaved leaves behind his wife and two sons.
