UTEP to have School of Pharmacy

The University of Texas System Board of Regents approved The University of Texas at El Paso to establish a School of Pharmacy and a new doctoral program in pharmacy.

The program aims to address the severe shortage of pharmacists in the Borderland.

Currently there are only 56 pharmacists per 100,000 population.
