Northeast El Paso residents on edge after two week car vandalism spree

A Northeast El Paso neighborhood is on edge. The Pleasant Hills neighborhood, specifically between Sun Valley and Rushing streets, has had 20 cars vandalized over week ends.

El Paso Police estimate the damage is thousands of dollars, even calling it a “vandalism spree.” They have yet to find any suspects.

ABC-7 crews went out there to see the damage. We found one car with a shattered back window. Another resident was actually covering his car windows with cardboard, afraid of what may happen over Thanksgiving.

“This is supposed to be Pleasant Hills, supposed to be living in an environment where none of this is supposed to be happening,” said resident Eduardo Summers. “And yet here it is. Nothing we can do, unless the police department catch them, which I hope they do.”

El Paso Police say any information could prove vital in solving this crime. If you have any information call CRIMESTOPPERS at (915) 566-8477.
