UTEP wins Corpus Christi Coastal Classic
The UTEP basketball team added 2015 Corpus Christi Coastal Classic champions to its lengthy rsum Saturday afternoon.
The Miners beat Colorado State, 99-90, in double overtime at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
UTEP was led by Lee Moore and Earvin Morris, who each scored 28 points. The Rams were led by Gian Clavell’s 35.
UTEP entered the game at 5-0, their best start since the 2009-10 season. It was only their fourth 5-0 start since 1990.
Colorado State coach Larry Eustachy was an assistant to UTEP’s Tim Floyd at Idaho during the 1986-87 season. This was their seventh time going head to head in the coaching realm
