City Rep. Carl Robinson taken by ambulance to hospital after medical emergency during meeting
City Council took a recess of about 20 minutes Monday afternoon because City Rep. Carl Robinson was having a medical emergency.
Around 3 p.m., City Council recessed because Robinson was not feeling well and an ambulance was called.
ABC-7 could see a person could giving Robinson aspirin while other city representatives surround him.
The nature of Robinson’s medical emergency is not known at this time.
Robinson had been in the midst of challenging City Manager Tommy Gonzalez on First Southwest, implying it’s not the firm’s responsibility to warn council on delay of ballpark financing.
City Council could decide today whether to hire an outside firm to investigate the City’s financial adviser search.
The meeting resumed shortly before 3:30 p.m. without Robinson present.
