Police investigating shooting in East El Paso

Police officers were called to investigate a shooting after a woman showed up at an emergency care clinic with a gunshot wound shortly after 9 p.m. Monday.

The shooting may have been accidental, according to a police dispatch supervisor. The woman received treatment at Complete Emergency Care, a stand-alone emergency care clinic at Montwood and George Dieter.

An investigation led police to a home on the 1700 block of Judith Resnik, according to the police dispatch supervisor.

The woman’s injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
