Las Cruces Public Schools vote for levy passes

On Tuesday voters in the Las Cruces Public School district voted to support the continuation of a two-mill levy.

The final number of votes were 2,097 for, and 676 votes against the two-mill levy.

The two-mill levy will allow for the schools to continue to collect a property tax of $2 on each $1,000 of net taxable property value. This will not increase the school tax rate,
