St. Mark’s holds mass wedding

mercy, 52 couples from a local parish have their marriage sacramented by the church. st. mark’s parish celebrated a mass wedding ceremony yesterday. it included dozens of couples who were married civilly, but not through the church. the parish reached out to the couples… preparing them with retreats, marriage formation programs, and putting them in contact with a marriage ministry. for one couple, it came at a perfect time: sot full “so you guys decided to do it this weekend because it’s also your anniversary?” “yes, and th church decided to schedule it this day so it was a wonderful convenience for us.” st. mark’s says they offered the ceremony to couples because they don’t want couples to feel alienated from the church because of their marriage status.
