UPDATE:
El Paso Police have identified the murder suspect shot and killed by a Border Patrol Agent earlier this month.
He was 43-year-old Hector Leroy of the 11000 Block of Scott Simpson in El Paso, Texas.
The shooting happened the evening of February 4 at the intersection of Overland and El Paso street in downtown El Paso.
Police confirmed that Leroy had just committed murder after an attempted robbery when he was shot.

The case is being investigated by the EPPD, the Texas Rangers, the FBI, and the U.S. Border Patrol. The identity of the wounded victim has not been identified until next-of-kin have been notified.
During a live press conference earlier this month, Border Patrol Chief Agent Jeffrey Self said that the suspect was also found with a knife. Self added that the agents involved in the shooting will be placed on administrative leave. The number of agents involved is still being investigated.
