Wanted Sexual Assault suspect found at Alamogordo motel

On February 11, 2016, Officers from the Alamogordo Police Department were contacted by the El Paso, Texas Fusion Fugitive Task Force regarding a male subject wanted in their jurisdiction on a Felony Warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault.

The suspect’s identifiers and vehicle information were received from the Fugitive Task Force members. With this information, APD Officers were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle parked at a motel in the 200 block of Panorama Avenue.

With the assistance of the US Marshal’s Service, New Mexico State Police SWAT team and the Las Cruces Police Department Fugitive Task Force, 66-year-old Michael Jerry Buck, a Deming, NM resident, was taken into custody without incident.

Mr. Buck was subsequently incarcerated into the Otero County Detention Center on a $100,000.00 bond to await extradition to Texas.
