Police ID downtown murder victim

El Paso police announced today the name of a man shot to death in a robbery earlier this month near the downtown Greyhound station.

He is 55-year old Victor Rodriguez.

Police have been withholding his identity while searching for relatives, but have still not been able to find any.

Police have asked the El Paso news media to broadcast his name and picture and ask the for the public’s assistance.

The say he was born in San Antonio and that he lived in Amarillo.

Anyone who has any information about Rodriguez, his relatives or why he was in El Paso is asked to contact Detective Robert Posada at (915)-212-4075- Or (915) 212-4040.
