UPDATE: Police release arrest photo of woman charged in deadly pedestrian crash
Police said speed and alcohol are to blame for a crash that killed a pedestrian Saturday afternoon in Northeast El Paso.
Brandy Lina Holguin, 28, was driving north on McCombs when she struck 63-year-old Alfonso Rubio Barrera, police said.
Holguin allegedly drove off, but was followed and stopped by a witness.
Barrera was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died.
Holguin was booked into the El Paso County Jail. She was charged with intoxication manslaughter and accident involving death. She is being held on a combined total of a $50,000 bond.

Police tell ABC-7 the man was struck by a car, then taken to the hospital where he died. The northbound lanes of McCombs will be closed for three hours asSpecial Traffic Investigators are on scene.
