Lopez trial: Jurors see taped confession

brand new developments in the antonio lopez trial. the jury has now seen all of his interrogation video. lopez is accused of brutally killing his 11-month-old foster child, jayla beckley. abc-seven’s jerry najera is live at the county courthouse. open it’s a story developing now.. as the jury watched that interview between detectives and lopez they witnessed an emotional confession during the interrogation police continued to explain jaylas injuries to lopez in detail. detectives telling lopez jayla died because her liver had ruptured and her intestines tore from excessive force. in a dramatic turn of events lopez tells police …something got a hold of me.” when asked about incident… lopez said… “she just started crying. she did not want to be with me.” “i put he on the floor and stomped on her two or three times.” he said h then put her limp body back in the crib and called 911. the trial has wrapped up here today. it continues tomorrow at 8 a.m. jerry… difficult to hear the testimony in this case. and we’ll be back in court tomorrow. thank you. an emotional night
