Police identify the man killed in crash on Wedgewood
El Paso Police have identified the man killed in a crash early Thursday morning in east El Paso. This happened around 5:20 a.m. at the intersection of Wedgewood and Album.
Police said 37-year-old Jose Cordova was traveling north on Wedgewood approaching Album in a 1993 Subaru. At the same time, a 2004 Cadillac Deville driven by 26-year-old Richard Garrett Flores was headed east on Album. Both cars entered the intersection at the same time, causing the crash.
Jose Cordova suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced at on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation. This is the 19th traffic death compared to 13 at this time in 2015.
