Chihuahuas fall to Padres 13-9 in exhibition match
The El Paso Chihuahuas and their Major League Affiliate put on a great show in front of a sold out crowd at Southwest University Park Thursday night.
The Chihuahuas put up a fight, but fell to the San Diego Padres 13-9 in 9 innings.
Both teams combined for 38 hits, 22 combined runs and 8 combined home runs, but showed promise for the Chihuahuas’ upcoming third season in the Borderland.
Opening day is on April 15 at 7:05 p.m. against the Reno Aces.
