Man killed in rollover on Joe Battle identified
The man killed in a deadly crash early Monday morning has been identified. This happened on the 1300 block of Joe Battle around 2:30 a.m.
El Paso Police said 28-year-old Joel Herrera was driving 2007 Mercury Milan when he lost control of his vehicle, struck a guardrail, and rolled over several times before coming to rest in a parking lot. Herrera was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
EPPD said speed was a contributing factor in the crash. This is the 22nd fatality of 2016 compared to 13 in 2015.
