breaking news out of las cruces where police confirm a murder-suicide is under investigation. it’s an active crime scene on the 59- hundred block of jornada road. that is where we have abc-seven’s jamie warren working the story. … she has live breaking news coverage our new mexico mobile newsroom… there are still a few police cars outside this home in east las cruces where we’re told an 83 year old man apparently killed his 82 year old wife then took his own life. we were there as officials carried out one of the bodies this evening. lcpd says at around 11 o’clock a caregiver asked police to check on the couple. that’s when police found the husband and wife dead inside the master bedroom. investigators say they believe the 83 year old man shot his wife then turned the gun on himself. detectives say the couple had health issues that required extensive medical attention. neighbors tell me they’ve seen ambulances at the home multiple times. they’re shocked to hear what happened i’m pretty shocked. it’s a quiet neighborhood. a lot of people around here are older. i never met them personally, but they lived across the street. i did see an ambulance here a couple weeks ago. and within the last couple months too over there. the identies of the couple have not yet been released. we will update you on this story on air and online as we get more info. lc nmmn jw abc7 abc-seven confirms these former e-p-i-
