NIN at Albertsons? Drake at Hooters? Los Tigres at Pro’s Ranch Market? Facebook inundated with fake events

For one night only, Mexican band Los Tigres Del Norte will be performing at the Pro’s Ranch Market at North Loop and Zaragoza.

The show is free and thousand of Facebook users say they are going.

A manager at the grocery store, now known as Los Altos Ranch Market, told ABC-7 the event is fake and he has already contacted his corporate office.

In case you haven’t noticed, Facebook is inundated with fake events.

Some, like the Tigres concert, look like they may be real. Others seem downright ridiculous.

Metallica opening for Sum 41 at a Sonic Drive-in? We all know the Heavy Metal Gods open for no one. Why would they open for a one hit wonder at a burger joint?

Another event page has Korn performing at a taco restaurant; free chips and salsa for the first 100 guests.

Creed is supposed to perform with The Hamburglar, a hologram Tupac Shakur and David Silver from 90210 at a Walmart in Nashvill, Tennessee June 9th.

It looks like it’s only a matter of time before you’re invited to one of these bogus concerts.
