Free summer lunch programs

Schools across the El Paso area will be providing free meals for children ages one to 18 years of age during the summer.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) created the Summer Food Service Program to ensure low-income children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.

Schools selected as sites for the program are in cities where 50% or more of the children qualify for free and reduced-priced school meals.

The USDA expects to serve more than 200 million meals across the country this summer and the El Paso area is no exception.

The Ysleta, El Paso, Socorro and Canutillo Independent School Districts are part of this year’s program at no cost for the community.

Below is a list of schools participating in the Summer Food Service Program with program dates and times:

YISD

Meals will be offered Monday through Thursday.

Unless otherwise noted, breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Meals will be offered Monday through Friday.

Breakfast will be served 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the elementary and middle schools and 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the high schools. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at all schools.
