Mesa Park Drive expansion meeting to be held Thursday

A meeting will be held at Morehead Middle School Thursday to discuss a new interchange for I-10 on El Paso’s westside.

The plan is for Mesa Park Drive to connect Mesa with I-10 north of Executive Center. A computer rendition of I-10 improvements show that a new overpass is set to be built over the freeway as part of the Go-10! project. Eastbound traffic that normally exits at Executive would exit at Mesa Park Drive instead, while westbound traffic that once entered the freeway at Executive will drive down a frontage road to Mesa Park Drive and enter I-10 at that point.

The meeting will be held Thursday evening from 5 to 7 in the evening.
