Grand jury indicts man on charge of Criminal Sexual Penetration of a Minor
A grand jury has indicted a man for allegedly sexually abusing a child.
Prosecutors Friday said 24-year-old Stephen Cordero faces one count of criminal sexual penetration of a minor, a first degree felony.
Cordero also faces 14 counts of child abuse stemming from allegations he mistreated his girlfriend’s children.
Josie Rubio, the mother, was also indicted in the case in April.
In that case, investigators said the couple would whip the child with a belt, or shoot the child with a pellet gun.
