Couple arrested for allegedly stealing more than $100 in detergent
El Paso authorities arrested a couple who allegedly stole several detergent bottles from a store on Monday.
Juan Ramirez, 24, and Kimberly Christine Nevarez, 25, were arrested by El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
Staff from the Dollar General store located on the 18600 block of Alameda Ave. called 911 to report the incident and deputies placed a traffic stop to find the suspects. Authorities managed to locate a vehicle matching the description given by store staff.
The bottles of detergent were discovered in the back seat. The estimated value of the detergent was $168.00
Ramirez and Nevarez were arrested for theft and booked into the El Paso County Downtown Detention Facility.
