Document: Woman had drinks at hotel after witnessing killing of former KLAQ DJ
The woman who witnessed the killing of a former KLAQ DJ had drinks at a local hotel moments after the murder, according to a court document obtained by ABC-7.
Marinda Palacios, 33, of the 900 block of S. Mesa Hills, is facing a charge of “Failure to Report a Felony.” She was released Tuesday on a $5,000 bond.
Monday, police said 31-year-old Leonel Hernandez is the man suspected of shooting and killing Richard Madrigal, 33.
Hernandez, also of the 900 block of South Mesa Hills, is being held on a $1 million bond on a single count of Murder.

Sunday, June 12, 2016, officers found Madrigal dead from gunshot wounds inside his apartment on the 4100 block of Westside.
Investigators said a friend stopping by for a visit discovered Madrigal’s body.
Palacios told police she did not report the killing because she feared for her life. The court document further states Palacios drove to a local hotel moments after the killing, had drinks at the bar, and spent the night in a hotel room.
According to the document, Palacios was home for a portion of the night of the murder, but failed to report the killing to police. Palacios began to get ready to attend a high school graduation instead, the document states. While home, “(Palacios) did not make any effort to alert police, and encouraged her husband not to alert police either,” the document states.
A motive for the killing is not yet known. Court documents state Hernandez allegedly admitted he killed Madrigal.
