ICE agents deport woman wanted in Honduras on fraud charges
ICE agents on Wednesday deported an Honduran woman wanted in her home country for committing fraud against the government.
Vanessa Molina-Aguilar, 29, was flown to her home country via U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Air Charter Flight on June 22.
The wanted fugitive has an active arrest warrant out of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She is also the subject of and INTERPOL Red Notice, which informs the public of fugitives on the run.
On Jan. 5, 2015, Molina-Aguilar was apprehended after illegally entering the United States at or near Santa Teresa, New Mexico. A month later, on Feb. 25, 2015, a judge in Honduras requested the assistance of immigration authorities in extraditing Molina-Aguilar.
On April 29, a U.S. federal immigration judge ordered Molina-Aguilar removed from the United States. She did not appeal the immigration judge’s decision.
